Carlton Fernandes, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Ortho Central's Hand Center who specializes in upper extremity treatment. Receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Dr. Fernandes later completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His pursuit of advanced expertise led him to Loyola University Chicago Medical Center, where he completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery.
Dr. Fernandes' commitment to excellence is evident through his accolades. He was honored with the Harold Sofield Traveling Fellowship, which took him to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam during his fellowship year to treat patients and provide insightful lectures. His dedication to medicine has also been recognized through his induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Fernandes chose the field of hand surgery to empower patients to get back to what they love doing.
